KATHMANDU, Nov 22: CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate Jeevan Ram Shrestha is trailing behind runaway leader Biraj Bhakta Shrestha of Rastriya Swatantra Party and Hamro Nepal Party’s candidate Suman Sayami in Kathmandu Constituency-8.
Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Shrestha is leading the vote tally for a seat in the House of Representatives with 8,290 votes followed by Sayami with 5589 votes. CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Shrestha is a distant third with 3840 votes, according to a post shared by his secretariat on Tuesday evening.
CPN-UML candidate Shiva Sundar Raj Baidhya is further behind with 3009 votes.
As of 7 pm Tuesday, a total of 24,949 votes have been counted in the constituency.
