Club Déjà Vu, Durbarmarg on Wednesday had an intoxicating air about it. It was about the thousands of Jay Sean’s fans that had turned up at the venue. All of them most certainly had an exciting time, with most on the floor dancing to his hour-long performance. Few audiences that were used to Jay Sean’s English hip-hop were taken by surprise when he sung Hindi lyrics of ‘Suraj Hua Mathham’ and ‘Chura Liya’. Loud cheers that followed Jay Sean’s Hindi performance probably counted to make this particular event memorable for the artiste himself.

The concert started 7 pm onward with some prominent DJs of Nepal – Dj Punit, DJ BPM and DJ Redmus, among others, performing before Jay Sean took the stage at 12:20 midnight. Jay Sean is a British R&B singer and songwriter, whose songs topped the British Billboard Charts from 2009-2012. The artist, on Wednesday, performed more than 15 of his popular songs, including ‘Make My Love’, ‘Stolen’, ‘Down Down’, ‘I Am All Yours’, ‘Dance With You’ and ‘Like This Like That’. At one point on-stage, he remarked that he performed all kinds of genre because that way he would “address all kinds of audience”.

Defying the rumors circulating across social media that Jay Sean had denied to perform live owing to sponsorship issues, Youhaan International Events Media organized the event successfully. The Events Media had organized the concert under its “Black Religion Cultural Series’.

The concert saw the presence of more than 4,000 spectators, including few high profile artistes and models, who further added to the event’s glamour.
Youhaan International Events mentioned that Jay Sean returned back to the US immediately after the concert, on Thursday.
