Janata Bank launches new deposit product

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Janata Bank Nepal Ltd (JBNL) has launched a new deposit product named 'Janata Kabach'.

Issuing a statement on Sunday, the commercial bank said that it would provide accidental death insurance of up to Rs 1 million and housing insurance of up to Rs 10 million on the deposit account.

"The bank believes that 'Janata Kabach' will not only provide saving facility but also the security to the public," reads the statement.

The bank mobilized a total of Rs 24.06 billion in deposits and Rs 20.47 billion in loans in the last fiscal year 2015/16, the statement added.
