PM assures not to let Nepalese territory be encroached

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has committed not to let a single inch of Nepalese territory be encroached upon. Receiving a field study report jointly prepared by the All Nepal National Free Students' Union (ANNFSU) and All Nepal National Independent Students' Union-Revolutionary (ANNFISU-R), the PM Deuba made such statement.

Government is preparing to declare the deceased of Bandarmude incident as martyrs. 38 people lost their lives in an ambush targeted to a passenger bus by Maoist during insurgency on June 5, 2005, at Bandarnude of Chitwan.

Language Commission to preserve 29 languages

The Language Commission is working on a plan to preserve 29 languages that are on the verge of disappearance, including the Chepang, Kusunda and Dura languages. The Commission has stated that it is starting work on protecting the languages that are spoken only by a few people and which are not in common use as they face the risk of extinction.
