Sunsari clinches 6th Eastern Regional Taekwondo Sports Championship

Sunsari became champion in the 6th Eastern Regional Taekwondo Sports Championship concluded today in Itahari Sub Metropolitan City. It bagged six gold and two bronzes medals. Likewise, Dhankuta claimed second position by winning four gold medals, and one bronze followed by Jhapa in third position with two gold medals and one bronze. Morang secured one gold and four bronzes, while Ilam one gold. 

Massive 7.3 magnitude earthquake hits coast of Peru

A tsunami threat has been issued in Peru following a powerful earthquake just off the coast of South America. The 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck about 124km south west of the town of Puquio, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said. Officials in Peru said there is a tsunami alert for areas within a 300km radius of the earthquake.
