WhatsApp has recently added new features in the latest update for iOS that makes a host of new changes on how the app functions.
However, WhatsApp has finally rolled out an update that brings iPhone users on par with Android users as you can finally queue up messages when your phone is offline for them to be automatically sent once you receive reception.
Previously, any messages or images sent offline on iOS devices would fail and had to be manually sent again when the phone connects.
Send up to 30 images in one go
The second change is related to image sending. When you’re the only one taking photos at an event and face a barrage of messages from friends asking you to share all the photos, you are often stuck figuring out how to send so many images together as WhatsApp had a limit of 10 images per post.
Now, after a long hiatus, there’s some development made in this regard as iPhone users will now be able to send up to 30 images in one go.
You can now clear specific chat data
WhatsApp is also making changes to help you manage your chat data. Previously, users could see exactly how much storage each chat occupies.
Now with the latest update, you can clear any unwanted chat usage so that all unnecessary conversations can give way for more storage. You can also delete certain message types, like videos, from specific chats.
Short video sharing platform 'Ramailo' now available on iPhone
Further, you’ll know exactly how much storage you are removing unlike the conventional clear chat option in the chat window.
The latest WhatsApp version 2.17.1 is now available for download to all iPhone users (running iOS 7 or higher). While most updates make minor changes in an app but this update seems like one you shouldn’t miss.
