KATHMANDU, July 20: Students vandalized the Hetauda Campus, Makwanpur, on wednesday, saying that an examination invigilator misbehaved with the girl students. The students chanted slogans and vandalized the campus saying that two female students who had come for the exam this morning were misbehaved.

Four students of Makwanpur Multipurpose Campus, who went to Hetauda Campus to sit for the exam, have accused the exam invigilator of misbehaving with them by searching their pockets for hiding chits. It has been revealed that the invigilators asked them to remove their underwear on Tuesday.

"Students have complained that even menstruating students were asked to strip down to their underwear in the name of checking for chits,” said All Nepal National Free Students Union Makwanpur Campus Coordinator Bishwas Parajuli. "We have received information that the students, who went on a spontaneous protest demanding action against the staff who had misbehaved with the students, locked the Hetauda campus and vandalized it."

Similarly, he said that the female staff abused the female students who went for the exam. The student organization in the district has demanded an investigation into the incident and action against the guilty.

Meanwhile, the campus administration has suspended two office assistants who were accused of misbehaving with two female students. The administration held an all-party meeting and suspended the two office assistants.

The all-party meeting consisting of the representatives of the student organization, guardians and the campus head agreed to suspend the two employees and they will not be able to participate in any examination. The meeting has also formed an investigation committee to submit a report within three days.
