KATHMANDU, April 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) went down 69.37 points last week amid low confidence of the investors at the secondary market.


During the review period, the market opened 2,613.67 points and closed at 2,544.30 points. The investors lost Rs 93 billion in their book value during week-long transactions.

In a five-day trading, the market index declined for four days. On the first day, the market fell by 41.43 points followed by the downswing of 29.98 points and 14.26 points respectively on Monday and Tuesday. Breaking a chain of three-day fall, the market however surged by 40.68 points on Wednesday before going down again by  23.95 points on Thursday.   


The single day transaction went to as low as Rs 1.75 billion. The total turnover amount stood Rs 13.41 billion, up from Rs 12.68 billion of the previous week.
