Apple calls it iCloud whereas competitor Google just calls it Google Cloud. [break]
Gone are the days of huge network servers that helps us connect with other people within a workplace, gone are the days of thick LAN wires and gone are the days of defining specific network drives.
Cloud services give corporations the ability to launch everything into the infinite depths of the Internet, easily making it accessible to people all over the workplace.
Although you might not be aware of it, Google and Apple have already assigned you a cloud space and if you get a new phone or if you happen to lose all the data on your mobile phone device or you tablet PCs, these services help you down all your lost data because they have already been synced to your Cloud account.
And with Google’s new addition to its cloud services, the Google Drive, Google has made it surprisingly easier for people to up their documents or files to the cloud.
Downloading your Google Drive client brings up a new network drive on your Windows or Mac PC and anything that you decide to drop into that drive is automatically uploaded to the Google Cloud account, making them accessible from anywhere, your phone, tablet or even your friend’s PC. And all it requires is a stable Internet connection.
Part Dropbox, part Google Documents, the Google Drive maybe a new dimension in cloud computing. Google, an avid advocate of the cloud systems, also released the Google Chrome notebook a few years back that failed to pick up market.
The chrome notebook, running on a Linux base, offered everything on the internet. All it consisted of was a modified version of Google’s well-received web-browser, Google Chrome.
The Chrome notebook had everything built into the browser, from a media-player to a word processor integrated with Google Docs.
Maybe the Notebook came a little too early or maybe the cloud system need a little more work, whatever the case, many technological corporations have already done away with their networking hardware and have happily embraced the cloud network and many individuals have opted it as well, with Google Drive and Google Play, a cloud service that helps you upload your entire media library on to the cloud.
Nepal maybe a little behind on Internet services but cloud services are definitely the future of the Internet and how we interact with our local documents.
