KATHMANDU, Feb 7: The first Mayor Cup International Invitational Women’s Volleyball Tournament is being held from Saturday in a, Chitwan. 


Friends Volleyball Club of Kolkata and a team from Bangladesh will feature in the tournament including the departmental clubs Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC), Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Police Club (NPC), Western Regional Volleyball Association and Shivam New Diamond Academy.

The winner of the tournament will take home Rs 200,000, while the runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 100,000. The third-placed team will bag Rs 50,000. The organizers informed that the fourth-placed team will get Rs 25,000. Likewise, the tournament, which will be played in league cum knockout format, will award the best players with Rs 10,000 each.
