KATHMANDU, June 8: International media have been informed about Nepal's campaign of Visit Nepal Year 2020. During the ongoing Himalayan Travel Mart in the capital city, the international travel bloggers and the media persons were informed about the travel destinations and the activities Nepal was going to organize during the next year.
The press briefing was attended by 38 international travel bloggers and media representatives. National program coordinator for Visit Nepal Year campaign, Suraj Vaidya, said Nepal was organizing various adventurous activities, promoting religious tourism and making publicity abroad.
The construction of infrastructures for the tourism has gained pace, he said, adding that Nepal would be promoted as a safe and attractive tourist destination across the globe. On the occasion, chief executive officer of Nepal Tourism Board, Dipakraj Joshi, said the ongoing program was fruitful to spread the message that Nepal was a safe destination for tourism. The government has aimed at bringing in 2 million foreign tourists in the Visit Nepal Year 2020.
