KATHMANDU, June 22: The National Innovation Center established by Mahabir Pun has decided to extend the call for donations for another year.
The fund raising campaign that began in July last year has been extended as the collection did the meet the target. The centre had hoped to collect Rs. 500 million by mid-July 2017.
The time has now been extended up to mid-July 2018, according to Chair of the Centre Pun.
It may be noted that Pun has decided to auction his medals and prizes that he won at the national and international level in recognition of his contribution to promoting wireless internet technology in rural Nepal. The medals include one he received as the Magsaysay award in 2007.
Pun is establishing the center with the objective of promoting various study, reasearch and innovations in the country. RSS
