Information Minister Karki's property detail made public

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Personal property details of Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki has been made public.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers released the minister's property as part of the provision to make public personal property details of sitting Prime Minister, ministers, and high ranking officials after assuming offices.

As per Karki's property detail, he owns 10 aana and two paisa plot of land at Jhaukhel-7 in Bhaktapur and nine ana plot at Sipadole-1, both registered in his name.

Likewise, he has four ropani of land at Manmkha VDC-1 in Okhaldhunga in the name of his late mother Ratna Devi and he also owns properties in Sikkim and Darjeeling in India under his wife's name.

Similarly, he has Rs 250,000 in his bank account at Himalayan Bank, Rs 650,000 at Standard Chartered Bank, Rs 7,500 at Nabil Bank, 70,000 at Everest Bank and Rs 400,000 at Rastriya Banijya Bank. He also owns 10 tolas of gold. RSS
