KAPILVASTU, April 28: A toddler died in an inferno on Friday at Shivapur of Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality-5 in Kapilvastu district.

According to DSP Pralhad Adhikari, two years old Shyam Kurmi, son of local Om Prakash Kurmi, died as fire destroyed seven houses in the village. The fire erupted when parents of the deceased were busy on the farm. The body of the child is taken to District Hospital in Taulihawa.

Locals, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Personnel took the fire in control.

Meanwhile, fire destroyed two houses in Banganga Municipality-5 of the district on Friday afternoon. According to police, houses of Tara Bahadur Adhikari and Kalpana BK turned into ashes in the fire.
