KATHMANDU, May 14: An Indian man has announced a bounty of INRs 20,000 to find the whereabouts of eight Nepali migrant workers who have ‘absconded’ from a hotel based in Chanspa, Ladakh, earlier this week.

On his recent Facebook post, Stobie Goba hailing from Ladakh of India said that the Nepali workers who were hired for the construction of an irrigation canal in Agyam Nubra have gone out of contact since May 12.

The recruiter mentioned that he hired altogether 15 laborers from Nepal in March by spending almost Indian rupees 350,000. According to the recruiter, he took them to Ldimbir Hotel at the old bus stand and kept them for 32 days at his own hotel in Chanspa.

"Therefore, I am really in need of help to find them. An amount of INRs 20,000 will be rewarded to anyone who informs me of their whereabouts," reads his Facebook post.
