KOLKATA, Oct 3: India's bowlers helped the hosts clinch a 178-run victory over New Zealand in the second Test on Monday to take the series and reclaim their top spot in the world rankings.
New Zealand were left chasing 376 for victory, but were bowled out for 197 in the final session on the fourth day in Kolkata. India's Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each.
India take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
