Independent candidate elected as chair of Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality

RUPANDEHI, July 6: Independent  candidate Man Mohan  Chaudhari has been elected as the mayor of Lumbini Sansdkritik Municipality.

Chaudhari won the election with 8,175 votes, compared to 7,039 votes for his nearest rival FSFN- Naya Shakti alliance mayoral candidate Fakruddin Khan.

However, FSFN- Naya Shakti alliance deputy mayoral candidate Janaki Devi Shrivastav has emerged victorious in the race for the deputy mayor of Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality. Shrivastav obtained 4720 votes while his closest rival garnered 4588 votes.
