KATHMANDU, August 31: The Rastriya Shivasena Party has demanded to declare Nepal a Vedic Sanatan Hindu Nation and a Birthplace of Lord Buddha.
At a press conference organized in the capital, Party Chairperson Bikram Bahadur Bam called for the inclusion of phrases 'Sanatan Hindu State' and 'Buddha's Birthplace' in the Constitution.
Noting that the country's existence would be in crisis if the political parties failed to give an outlet to the current political crisis, he said, "The constitutional monarchy should be recognized as a symbol to safeguard national sovereignty and independence".
He also informed that the party is organizing several anti-corruption activities in Kathmandu on September 14. RSS
