KATHMANDU, April 12: On Wednesday, the locals of Handigaun, Kathmandu celebrated the Gahana Khojne Jatra ( festival for searching the jewelry).
It is the festival celebrated the following day of the chariot festival of Tudal Devi that falls on the full moon day of the month of Chaitra.
According to the mythology, the goddess had lost her jewelry in a local pond and each year the locals observe the festival by searching the lost jewelry with much fanfare.
