KATHMANDU, May 25: Activists affiliated to various student unions besieged the office of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) on Wednesday, demanding withdrawal of the recent price hike of petroleum products and control of market prices.
On Wednesday, Nepal Student Union, All Nepal Free Students Union, All Nepal National Independent Student Union (Revolutionary) and other student unions surrounded the office of the corporation.
Students chanted slogans at the main gate of the corporation demanding withdrawal of the price hike of petroleum products. They urged the government to take back the price of petroleum products as soon as possible and warned to intensify the agitation if it is not taken back.
