The peaceful solidarity march was held from Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu to New Baneshwar on Saturday against cow slaughter at the call of Vaidik Sanatan Dharmik Mahasangh. Those who participated in the march raised slogans demanding the government to take action against those who slaughter cows. They also urged the government to ban proselytization in the country.

The participants in the march said that since the activities against their religion and culture have increased in Nepal, they had to organize demonstrations to safeguard them. They participated with the national flag and insisted that Nepal should be declared as a Hindu state.
