KATHMANDU, May 5: The nationwide lockdown enforced to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus disease in the country has already crossed a month.
During this period, only a few vehicles ply the streets, almost all the factories are shut down and air pollution level, especially in cities like Kathmandu, has drastically dropped down.
Clean streets, crystal clear skies and fresh breeze are prominent features of the city. Mountain peaks to the north of the Valley are visible, mesmerizing the city dwellers.
Monday’s dusk was amazingly beautiful. When our photojournalist Keshab Raj Thoker reached Chobhar, a popular tourist spot in the southern point of the Valley, Kathmandu had crystalline skies and a clear view of the mountains.
Here are some amazing photos by Thoker from Chobhar.
