‘In my dream’ on display at NAC

KATHMANDU
A group art exhibition featuring paintings, photographs and more titled ‘In My Dream’ kicked off on Thursday at Nepal Art Council (NAC), Babermahal.

Shivata Love Foundation organized the exhibition on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of its establishment. The exhibition was inaugurated jointly by Brazilian Ambassador to Nepal, Maria Teresa Pesao and Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal, Himani Arunatilaka.

Speaking on the occasion, Ragini Upadhyaya, President of the Foundation, said, "I am working to fulfill the dream of Shivata. I am happy to help other daughters like Shivata by turning grief into power."

She also said that she is writing a book called 'Talking with My Half Soul'. Speaking at the event, Brazilian Ambassador Maria Teresa Pesao praised the work done by the Shivata Love Foundation and said that she liked the Mithila, Ganesh and other arts on display. Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal Himani Arunatilaka lauded the work done by the foundation in the field of education and said that there was a need for better education for daughters.

The Shivata Love Foundation was established in 2016 under the slogan 'Love is Our Key to Prevent Humanities Collapse'. Shivata died of meningitis B in 2016. She was the daughter of Ragini Upadhyaya. All proceeds from the sale of the artwork will be donated to the Foundation.

The exhibition, which runs till April 28, has a total of 50 artworks
