In a show of strength, RPP to hold rally in Kathmandu tomorrow

KATHMANDU, April 7: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) which carries the agenda of a constitutional monarchy and Hinduism, has held extended meetings of the party in all the seven provinces. After the meeting, the Bagmati Province Working Committee is scheduled to hold a political rally in Kathmandu on April 8. Leaders of the party said the rally will be a show of the party’s strength in Bagmati Province.

KATHMANDU, April 7: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) which carries the agenda of a constitutional monarchy and Hinduism, has held extended meetings of the party in all the seven provinces. After the meeting, the Bagmati Province Working Committee is scheduled to hold a political rally in Kathmandu on April 8. Leaders of the party said the rally will be a show of the party’s strength in Bagmati Province.


Bhuwan Pathak, general secretary of the party, said that political activities were conducted in different parts of the country for the election campaign. All the sister organizations of the party have been given the responsibility of election campaign as well as organization expansion.

According to the party's schedule of holding meetings and district level meetings in all districts, meetings will be held in Damak of Jhapa on April 9, in Hetauda of Makwanpur on April 10, in Kalaiya of Bara on April 11 and in Birgunj of Parsa on April 12. It is said that the central chairperson and top leaders will participate in all these meetings. The party’s meetings and assemblies have been held in most of the districts.


In the local level elections, the party which is contesting alone without collaborating with any party is selecting candidates from all over the country. Leader Sundar Pandey said that the party has been given the responsibility to recommend a candidate, who has a clean image, is dedicated to the organization, has won the hearts of the local people and is likely to win the election. According to the party, candidates will be decided by mid-April.
