KATHMANDU, Feb 11: Nepal has selected to field first in a must win game against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 at the United Cricket Club Ground in Windhoek, Namibia.
Nepal had started with a slim win against host Namibia but lost to Oman by six wickets in its second game. Nepal must win today’s game if it is to secure the top two spot of the tournament that guarantees two spots in next month’s ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
Nepal lose to Canada by four wickets in T20 series
While Nepali bowling lineup has continually maintained its mark, the team has showcased poor batting lineup in both the games. Against Oman, Nepal struggled to score 138 in 46 over, which the latter reached in just 35.1 over.
If past matches are to reflect anything, Nepal has repeatedly lost against UAE since 2014’s ACC Premier League in Malaysia.
