LUMBINI, Dec 30: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Upendra Kant Aryal has said a special security plan will be introduced in Bhairahawa.

In an interaction programme held on Thursday by Siddhartha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bhairahawa, IGP Aryal said a special security plan will be prepared within a week in view of the increasing criminal activities in Bhairahawa – the industrial and tourism centre.

He also shared a belief that the security plan – aimed at discouraging criminal activities and bringing those involved in crime within the legal boundary – will receive support.

Aryal instructed the Lumbini Zone's Police Chief and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sher Bahadur Basnet, to prepare a draft of the security plan.

At the programme, participating industrialists, entrepreneurs and journalists complained of the deteriorating security scenario in the district. Responding to their grievances, IGP Aryal assured of brining the deteriorating security scenario in Rupendehi back into its normal stature.

Underlining Nepal Police's determination to maintain peace and security for common citizens, Aryal vowed to strangle any budding criminal racket.

He said the police were intensifying the search for the shooters of industrialist, Kul Prasad Neupane, industrialist and Youth Association Nepal (YAN), Rupendehi Chairman, Durga Tiwari including those issuing threats to FM stations. RSS
