KATHMANDU, July 29: Chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party(NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said reactionaries are hatching a conspiracy to end republic in a program organized in the capital to welcome the cadres of the outlawed Chand-led party to the NCP.
“Reactionaries want to end the existing federal democratic republic”, said Dahal, adding “If this political system is overthrown, Nepal will run a higher risk of danger. It is necessary for NCP cadres and leaders who love the country and peoples to be united to protect this system.”
On the occasion, Dahal also said that the whims of few persons cannot ensure the success of a revolution making an indirect reference to the Chand-led outfit that has claimed to be capable of making a political revolution based on communist ideology successful.
Dahal described socialism as a revolution carried out by as many people as possible.
A group of cadres including politburo member and the outlawed Biplab-led party’s district organization secretary Raman Ghimire joined the NCP amid a special function.
