Bollywood actor Govinda has arrived in Nepal. He arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday to attend a film festival  'Nepali Film Swarnim Festival' scheduled for November 7 which is going to be held in Birgunj.

Govinda landed at Tribhuvan International Airport along with his wife Sunita Ahuja and actress Niruta Singh. During an interaction event with the media, he shared, “I am here in Nepal to participate in a film-related event for the second time. Since I can speak Nepali a little bit, I would love to be featured in Nepali movies, if I get an offer. "

Actor Govinda expressed his gratitude to the audience who watched his films. Talking to the journalists, he said, “There is a need for interaction between foreign and Nepali actors for the development of the film.”  

“My friends and brothers are asking different questions regarding Nepal. Apart from me, several Bollywood artists have visited Nepal deepening the relationship between two countries.”

Actress Niruta Singh, who met Govinda for the first time, praised him, saying, “Govinda is a promising artist.” In recent times, Niruta, who is living in Mumbai, has come to Nepal frequently to attend film-related events. She was last seen in the movie 'Captain' starring with actor Anmol KC.

Govinda has been invited as a special guest by the Nepal Producers Association, the organizer of the festival. He will also give a performance at the festival, said Akash Adhikari, president of Nepal Producer's Association. This is not the first time he visited Nepal to attend the program. Last year he attended LG Film Awards held in Kathmandu.

According to Bimal Poudel, coordinator of the Festival Preparation Committee, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari is going to inaugurate the festival. Apart from Govinda, various prominent actors of K-Town including  Nir Shah, Shiva Shrestha, Rajesh Hamal, Bhuwan KC, Anmol KC, Gauri Malla, Karisma Manandhar will be attending the festival.

The festival is slated to run till November 9.
