KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he will work to create a party free from obstacles.
After being elected as the leader of the NC parliamentary party (PP) on Wednesday morning, Deuba said this in a conversation with media persons. On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba thanked the MPs for making him the PP leader of the NC.

He said that he is committed to taking the party forward in the coming days.
Deuba said, "Everyone helped me win. Thank you very much. I will keep the party free from hurdles in the coming days by moving this party forward well.”
Deuba received 64 votes in the election to the PP leader of NC held on Wednesday morning. His rival, NC General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa got 25 votes in the election.
