KATHMANDU, March 1: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said rival faction leaders within the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) had attacked him for running the party and country effectively.
Addressing a gathering of the NCP faction led by him in Pokhara on Monday, Prime Minister Oli alleged that he was attacked from all corners as rival faction leaders within his party did not want to see development activities taking momentum in the country.
“As a leader in the party’s top position, I am running the party effectively. I am also handling the government efficiently. The government is dynamic and effective. Development works have been expedited. This is the reason why I am attacked from all corners,” said Oli, while referring to the latest moves taken by the rival faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal to oust him from power.
Prime Minister Oli expressed fear that the rival faction leaders may even resort to physical assaults against him. He asked party leaders and cadres not to work with confidence for the development of the country as his demise won’t stop their campaign to bring peace and prosperity in the country.
