KATHMANDU, Dec 26:  Outgoing Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said that he took the process of forming a new government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal easily.

Speaking at his farewell meeting held at the ministry on Monday, outgoing Home Minister Khand, who is also a Nepali Congress leader, said that the country should also take the process of forming a new government with ease.

He mentioned that he had congratulated and wished the newly elected Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal over the phone and also made it clear that everyone should support the Dahal-led government. Minister Khand also alerted the employees to support the new government.

He said, "After the general election, there have been some changes in the process of forming the government. There has also been a change in the alliance. The country should take it easy. But yesterday I called the Honorable Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and congratulated him. And we all should help the new government. Now, according to our constitutional system and party arrangements, it is natural for leaders and workers of political parties to be members of the party.

However, this government is a continuation of the outgoing government. We gave continuity to yesterday's government. The new government will continue to do the same. Therefore, it is our common responsibility to support the government. And I would like to request you all to help. And, especially while working in the Ministry of Home Affairs, how to expand the limited resources and means and how to collect the resources is the responsibility of this government.

Home Minister Khand led the Ministry of Home Affairs for one year, six months and 12 days. He claimed to have successfully run the ministry. He also expressed his happiness on the successful completion of  local level and general elections.
