KATHMANDU, August 6: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who arrived in Japan for a five-day visit, has expressed regret that his wish to meet former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was not fulfilled.
Speaking to the media at Tokyo's Narita Airport, Dahal recalled that he had spoken to the former Prime Minister of Japan several times. “I was hoping to meet the former Prime Minister of Japan, Abe,” he told the media. “My wish is not fulfilled due to the tragedy that happened in Japan.”
Chairman Dahal also said that former Prime Minister Abe was very positive towards Nepal. Stating that the relationship between Nepal and Japan is old, he mentioned that the major 'donor country' of Nepal is Japan.
Dahal said that he will understand the situation of Nepali people in Japan and will also study what needs to be done for these people.
