"I don't know why everyone's speculating that our six-year relationship has ended and that we are no longer together. It's unnecessary and uncalled for. I am there with him as always, I love Sushant Singh Rajput unconditionally. These rumours are completely baseless and in bad taste," said Ankita to Mirror. She added that she has been accompanying Sushant around town but could not be with him for Holi celebrations because of a foot injury.
"Such rumours hurt since I have always admired and respected Sushant for his loyalty and commitment. He has never played games with me. He has always been a one-woman man and I love my man," she said, addressing rumours of Sushant getting close with his co-stars Parineeti Chopra, with whom he starred in Shuddh Desi Romance and Kriti Sanon, who is his current co-star in Raabta.
Hindustan Times’ earlier attempts to get a statement from Sushant were unsuccessful, aside from one single message, in which Sushant said: “I can’t talk about it right now. It is not a good feeling. Please, understand.”
Insecurity! The real reason behind Sushant Singh Rajput – Ankit...
A source close to the couple told HT: “Sushant has completely shut off and has immersed himself into work. He has also been spending a lot of time with his friends to keep himself distracted. Ankita has been reaching out to the actor and they’ve been talking but their issues aren’t sorted.”
Addressing the up in the air status of the couple’s December wedding date, the source added: “They still have a lot of love and respect for each other but their relationship isn’t working. Their December wedding has obviously, been put on hold. Both of them are extremely disturbed with the way things have turned out for them. They are still trying to sort out their differences but it seems highly unlikely that they make amends.”
Ankita, however, had this to say to Mirror: “You’ll definitely get invited to my wedding. As of now, all I can say is that anything that happens between us is our business alone. I can only assert that I love Sushant unconditionally and he, more than anyone else, knows it.”
