Hyundai launches electric car

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt Ltd, the authorized dealer of Hyundai Nepal, has launched a new electric car in the Nepali market. Issuing a statement, Laxmi Intercontinental said that the new electric car, Hyundai IONIQ, was launched at the ongoing Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Auto Show on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt Ltd, the authorized dealer of Hyundai Nepal, has launched a new electric car in the Nepali market. Issuing a statement, Laxmi Intercontinental said that the new electric car, Hyundai IONIQ, was launched at the ongoing Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Auto Show on Tuesday.

"Hyundai IONIQ is the first launch of Hyundai Nepal in the new electric segment," the company said in the statement, adding that IONIQ is an 88kW electric motor connected to a 28kWh lithium-ion polymer battery that gives up to 200-250 km of driving on a single charge. “This new car has paddle shifters give four levels of control over regenerative braking. With IONIQ, customers now don't have to sacrifice on looks while choosing for an electric vehicle,” the statement added.
