KATHMANDU, April 21: People are now heading home from Kathmandu, in coordination with the police and Sipadol Area Welfare Society on Tuesday.

Thousands walked to Jagati of Bhaktapur on foot  from different places around the Valley to leave for Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Dolakha, Udayapur, Dang, Ropla and to other parts of the country.

Some of them were helped by locals while others left for home on reserved vehicles. Those who ran out of money were also picked up upon the request of local police.

According to local administration, a number of vehicles have been arranged today from Jagati, Gaththaghar and Jatibuti to various parts of the country.

Police and volunteers of the Sipadol Welfare Society set up a medical checkup center for those leaving the Valley. A meal was served to the passenger.
