HSEB tells +2 schools to start grade 11 classes from July 31

KATHMANDU, June 19: The Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) has urged higher secondary schools throughout the country to begin new academic classes of grade 11 from July 31.

KATHMANDU, June 19: The Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) has urged higher secondary schools throughout the country to begin new academic classes of grade 11 from July 31.



"We have directed all the Plus Two schools to complete the new enrollment of students in grade 11 by July 30 and begin the classes on July 31," said Narayan Prasad Koirala, member secretary at the HSEB.



The HSEB has instructed the schools to admit the students who have obtained at least 1.6 GPA in the School Leaving Certificate examinations. Around 500,000 students who cleared the SLC this year are eligible for higher education this year. The HSEB has also directed schools to hold examinations for grade 11 by mid-May, 2017 and grade 12 by the end of April, 2017.



Similarly, the results of grade 11 should be published by mid-November while the results of grade 12 should be publicized by mid-August. According to the HSEB, the prospective grade 11 students can file application at the regional offices of the HSEB to get scholarship for grade 11. There are 11 regional offices of the HSEB across the nation.
