How do we narrow the gap between private and public school?

KATHMANDU, March 17: Canopy Nepal, in collaboration with the United States Embassy in Nepal and USAID Nepal, organized a panel discussion on ‘Understanding Education : Bridging the Gap between Private and Public School’ on Friday at the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) building , Teku.



The event also marked celebration of 70 years of friendship between the US and Nepal.



“There is a clear gap between public and private schools. Family background determines a person’s future in Nepal,” said Shisir Khanal, the panelist and CEO of Teach for Nepal



The discussion was moderated by education specialist Bidhyanath Koirala. The event discussed about existing gap between public and private schools in Nepal and the panelists shared thoughts to narrow the gap.
