KATHMANDU, June 2: House Speaker Onsari Gharti has called a meeting of heavyweights of major political parties with a view to settling the row over parliamentary work procedure. It has been learned that the meeting will begin at 3 pm at Singhadurbar .

This decision comes amid sharp disagreement over parliamentary work procedure among the opposition and ruling parties.

CPN-UML leader Rajendra Pandey and CPN(Maoist Center) leader Ram Narayan Bidari had argued for and against moving ahead the list of parliamentary work procedures in an acrimonious manner respectively at the meeting held by Speaker Onsari Gharti to discuss parliamentary work procedure.

At the meeting convened by Speaker Gharti earlier, Pandey said they would not accept new parliamentary work procedure until vote recount is resumed in  Bharatpur.

After the meeting attended by second-rung leaders of the major parties failed to forge consensus on parliamentary work procedure, Speaker Gharti has called a meeting of top leaders of the major parties with a view to settling the row over work procedure.
