KATHMANDU, Dec 1: A meeting of the Legislature-Parliament called for Thursday has been disrupted.

Speaking at the Parliament meeting UML  Vice  Chairman Bamdev Gautam lashed out at the government saying that it is bringing the constitution amendment bill to split the hill from the Tarai. "The opposition parties including UML will not support this bill as it has been brought to alienate the Tarai from the hill.”" said Gautam.

CPN-UML, CPN (ML), RJM and NPWP have obstructed the House meeting.

Speaker Onsari Gharti postponed the House meeting until Friday 3 pm after the main opposition party CPN-UML continued disrupting the meeting.

UML's parliamentary party meeting held on Wednesday had decided to use all its energies to foil the proposed amendments to the new Constitution, terming it as "an attempt to undermine the sovereign existence of the country."

In accordance with this decision, UML disrupted today's Hosue meeting.
