KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Preparations are being made so as to hold the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) on January 21.

The first session of the new HoR will begin on January 9. In an all-party meeting held on Friday, it was proposed to elect the Speaker of the HoR on January 21, said Nepali Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak.
He said, "There has been an agreement on holding the Speaker election on January 21."
