HoR sets single agenda of passing TJ bill today

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The House of Representatives (HoR) has set a single agenda for its meeting on Wednesday, focusing on the passage of the Commission  of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation (Third Amendment) Bill, 2081.

According to the agenda published by the Parliament Secretariat, the session, scheduled to begin at 1 PM, will involve discussing and passing the bill along with the report from the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee. The meeting will specifically address this agenda, with the bill expected to be approved after the discussion.


A task force formed by leaders from the three major political parties reached an agreement on the bill and submitted their recommendations to the top leadership. Following approval by the Parliament's Law Committee, the report will be presented in Wednesday's meeting for final passage.
