KATHMANDU, Sept 29: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has passed the 'Bill to Revive Provisions of Some Nepal Acts, 2083' on Tuesday.
The bill was passed unanimously after discussions on its principles. Further debate on the bill would be held on the bill after sending it to the concerned parliamentary committee.

The government brought this bill after some provisions of the Some Nepal Acts amended from the ordinance expired.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah presented a proposal seeking consideration of the bill.
Taking part in the discussion on the proposal, lawmakers Sushila Dhakal stressed the bill should maintain legal stability raising above political interests while Sajida Khatun Siddqui shared that there should be clear law enforcement agencies and deadlines.
Similarly, HoR members--Yashuda Kumari Baral, Aren Rai, Dr Lalita Kumari, Tuka Bhadra Hamal, Dr Pushpa Raj Kandel, Balawati Sharma, and Parbati BK among others took part in the discussion.
Responding to queries raised in course of discussion, Minister Gautam shared that the government presented the bill as per the policy-level decision of restoring clauses of some Nepal Acts that were expired due to ordinance.
