KATHMANDU, Sept 10: The fourth meeting of the ninth session of the House of Representatives is being held on Friday.
Speaker Agni Sapkota has called the meeting of HoR at 1 PM after the main opposition party, CPN-UML, repeatedly obstructed the meeting held on Wednesday, raising questions over the role of Speaker Sapkota to split the party. Sources said the UML is likely to obstruct the meeting again today.
Five ordinances to be tabled in HoR meeting today
Government sources said the possible agenda for the meeting today include presenting a dozen ordinances including financial and ordinance on raising public debt raising and appropriation ordinance.
The ninth session began on Wednesday. In the first, second and third meetings of the ninth session, the lawmakers of the main opposition party had obstructed the meeting. An ordinance on political parties was tabled despite repeated protests of the opposition parties.
