Home minister promises necessary resources to APF

KATHMANDU, March 3: Newly-appointed Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that the home ministry will undertake necessary efforts to provide adequate resources for the effective operation of the Armed Police Force (APF). 


Following an inspection visit of the headquarters of the paramilitary force on Friday, Home Minister Thapa said the security agency has done a commendable job despite limited resources and that his ministry will do its best to provide necessary resources for the effective operation of the security agency.

During the visit, APF Inspector General Singha Bahadur Shrestha briefed Minister Thapa about the security agency's ongoing activities as well as achievements made for ensuring peace and security in the country. 

 

Praising the agency for its role in holding peaceful elections of all the three levels of the new federal structure, Minister Thapa directed the agency to shoulder all the responsibilities that are assigned to it under the new federal setup. 


IGP Shrestha had requested the minister to provide necessary resources to the security agency.
