KATHMANDU, May 9: Minister for Home Bal Krishna Khand has said the government officials concerned could develop an immediate strategy for the resolution of any untoward incidents if factual information is shared on time.
After an inspection visit to the National Investigation Department (NID) on Sunday, Minister Khand said that the NID should be technologically sound and efficient to share timely information to the government.
Minister Khand said that the government could prepare strategies to counter different issues if information along with the impact analyses of political, social, economic and cultural happenings in the country are shared on time.
"New information on the use of natural means and resources, political, social, economic, criminal and technology in the world and their impacts should be shared to the government," Minister Khand added.
The government’s information system should be weak if the NID remains weak, leading to ill-functioning of the entire state mechanism, Minister Khand argued.
