KATHMANDU, July 31: Premier Division Yeti Airlines Himalayan Sherpa Club has filed a complaint against forward Nirajan Malla with the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) claiming that he left the club after taking three months salary.

"Malla has already taken Rs 75,000 as the salary for three months and now we hear that he has joined another clubs for training," Himalayan Sherpa President Karma Chhering Sherpa said, "We don´t have agreement on paper although he has taken the amount by signing on a salary sheet of the club." [break]According to Sherpa, the club had given him Rs 50,000 during British Gorkha Cup and another 25,000 a week ago.

"The relation of the club and player not only depends on paper work but also on the trust and mutual understanding. Malla has betrayed us," Sherpa said.

However, Malla who has been training with Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club, rejected the accusation that he betrayed the club. Malla claimed that he had taken the money for his knee treatment. "Earlier I had said that I would play for Himalayan Sherpa, but the Club did not fix my salary," Malla said adding, "Besides, MMC has better a team than Himalayan Sherpa and many of my friends are also with MMC."

"I had gone to the Himalayan Shepra Club to return the amount about a week ago, but they refused to take the money. The club said they had already filed a complaint with ANFA," Malla said.

Regarding Malla´s salary, Sherpa said they had a gentleman´s agreement to pay him Rs 25,000 per month before his knee treatment and Rs 35,000 after that.

Meanwhile, Malla joined MMC for Rs 40,000 per month and started training with the club since last week. Malla had picked up knee injury during the National League´s match between Himalayan Sherpa and Nepal Police Club. At that time Malla was on loan to Himalayan Sherpa from Armed Police Force (APF).
