Himalayan thrashed Nepal Police Club by eight wickets in the 20-over tournament, Baluwatar produced a convincing nine-wicket win over Makawanpur Cricket Club and SS Event beat Nachhetra Sports Club (Nuwakot) by 30 runs to secure the last eight positions.
Police's decision to bat first against Himalayan at the Tribhuvan University Ground in Kirtipur turned to be a disastrous decision as it was bowled out for 73 in 17.5 overs with Siddhanta Lohani scoring the highest 34 runs off 33 balls. Dilip Nath was the only other batsman to reach double figure with his 10 runs contribution from 23 balls. Police's four batsmen were sent to the pavilion with scoring runs.
Yagyaman Kumal bagged the highest three wickets, while Bhuwan Karki and Abinash Bohara picked up two wickets each for Himalayan. Lalit Bhandari claimed a wicket.
