High-level political committee meeting ends inconclusively

KATHMANDU, March 17: The meeting of the High-level Political Committee held at Secretariat of the Army Integration Special Committee at New Baneshwor, on Sunday, discussed on appointments in the vacant posts of constitutional bodies.



Today´s meeting of the Committee has centered on discussions regarding the appointments of the vacant posts in the constitutional bodies including the Election Commission, said Chairman of the Terai Madhesh Democratic Party, Mahantha Thakur.[break]



The committee, however, has not reached to conclusion. The meeting just gave responsibility to prepare the agenda for the next meeting to Unified CPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.



The committee has decided to meet Chairman of the Interim Election Council, Khil Raj Regmi, to discuss for the appointments and other issues today itself.



The committee was formed on Saturday to provide necessary cooperation to the electoral government.



Senior leaders of the four major political forces including the United Democratic Madheshi Front are the members of the committee.
