KATHMANDU, Dec 31:  The government is going to form a high-level commission to investigate the Balkumari incident.


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, in a discussion with the top leaders of the ruling parties on Sunday, said that according to the Commission of Inquiry Act 2026, a high-level commission will be formed under the chairmanship of a former judge.

"The commission will be formed by the Cabinet meeting tomorrow morning," said Nepali Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak, who participated in the discussion, "The commission will begin its work from tomorrow."


Last Friday, two young men were killed when the police used excessive force in Balkumari, Lalitpur, who protested to fill the EPS-Korean language test form.


Youths who failed the Korean language test for the job of shipbuilding demonstrated outside the EPS Korea branch in Gwarko, demanding that they should be able to fill the language test form for production work as well.
