NEPALGUNJ, Oct 2: The lives of some local herders of Sonari Rural Municipality-1 are at great risk as they are currently being surrounded by tigers. The herders have somehow managed to climb a tree and be safe for now, according to Chanda Lama, a local.
“A few tigers have surrounded some local herders. They are currently safe on a tree and are in need of help,” Lama told Republica over the phone.
According to Uttam Chaudhary, Chief of Banke National Park Eastern Sector, a team of army personnel has been sent to the incident site after receiving information of tigers being sighted in the area. They are currently trying to get hold of the situation.
